What is EES?
Founded by the late Jill Hassler-Scoop, Equestrian Education Systems (EES) is a riding, teaching, and learning system. Riders and instructors of all disciples are provided a simple way to combine classical riding principles with sound instructional tools. EES enhances results in the riding ring by incorporating techniques used in non-riding disciplines. It blends modern and classical approaches to horsemanship with education theory, sports psychology, and Eckart Meyners' internationally recognized Balimo™ work.
The foundation skills of the EES education program are communication, awareness, goal setting, and coherent lesson and training planning. These are the fundamental tools that optimize the instructor-rider relationship. Since successful riding requires a relaxed and balanced mind and body, the Eckart Meyners system is used to optimize body mechanics, while modern sports psychology is utilized to improve mental function. Finally, personal and professional development is supported through riding clinics, workshops and the strong sense of camaraderie and community that embody EES.
Equestrian Education Systems is the result of the cumulative years of experience and proven results that represent the life's work of Jill Hassler-Scoop, Eckart Meyners, and many other leading instructors. EES is committed to being the leading educational program in the equestrian instruction field. This unique education program is THE North American sponsor for Eckart Meyners' work (Balimo™ Program), and for the Balimo™ Chair, designed and endorsed by Eckart Meyners.
Equestrian Education Systems is an organization that offers a collection of resources and products dedicated to promote this simple goal: to maximize each rider's ability to learn and to enhance the effectiveness of each instructor as an educator.
