Pam Maloof, RI

Pam MaloofPam began her riding career at the age of 8. As a junior, she was very successful in both the equitation and hunter divisions. Pam is the sole proprietor of Faith Hill Farm (est. 1991), located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. She trains approximately 100 students, of all ages and abilities, boards 25 horses, and is in her eighth year coaching the University of Rhode Island Equestrian Team. In 2007, one of Pam’s team members was the high point open rider for their IHSA region.

Pam maintains an aggressive show schedule and focuses the majority of her efforts in developing and showcasing her students. She is a graduate instructor of the Balimo Program, under the mentoring of Eckart Meyners. Pam's young rider dressage students have received their bronze and silver medals and have been very successful in the Jr./Young Rider programs. Pam works very closely with Evi Rainsborough to bring quality horses to the US for her students.

In 2002, Pam attended the International Academy Equestrian Studies (IAES) in Germany and in 2004 returned to the Academy with seven of her students. Also, in 2004, she attended the Eckart Meyners/Eva Rainsborough intensive training symposium at the University of Lunenburg. She regularly trains with Judy Westlake, Eric Horgan and hosts regular clinics with Judy Westlake, Eric Horgan and Evi Rainsborough for her students. Pam has also had the pleasure of working with Karl Mikolka on many occasions.

During the summer of 2005, Pam participated in Eckart Meyners clinics in Colorado, Maryland, and Texas, where she rode with Hannes Mueller. In October of 2006, Pam attended the German Riding School under Hannes Mueller; and in December of 2006, she was part of a special task teaching workshop in Folsom, LA. Pam received very positive published reviews after teaching Eckart’s Balance In Motion philosophies in Minnesota in February of 2006. She also attended an Eckart Meyners clinic in Georgia in April of 2006 and two Eckart Meyners symposiums held at Johnson & Wales University in Massachusetts.

Most recently in 2008, Pam accompanied two of her own students, who made the Region 8 dressage team, to the North American Junior Young Rider Championships held in Colorado. One of her students was the highest average Jr. rider in Region 8. In 2008 Pam also achieved her Bronze and Silver Medals. Pam’s sale prospect, Mae West, was the 2008 USDF half Welsh reserve champion at Training Level. Pam and Mae West also won the 2008 Reserve Champion East Pony Cup with a winning score of 69.9% in open training level. February 2009 will mark Pam's second consecutive year of traveling to Florida to coach her dressage students, as well as showing Mae West herself.

Pam prides herself on developing her students as quality horsemen, leaders, and citizens. Much emphasis is placed on exposing her students to many different areas of riding such as dressage, eventing, hunting, hunter pacing, vaulting, and trail riding. Pam integrates skills from Eckart’s “Balance in Motion” philosophies and techniques along with her decades of experience to provide excellent competitive instruction to her students. She is thrilled with the positive results and measurable improvements that are evident in both horse and rider.
