What Is a Balimo™ Clinic?

Balimo™ Clinic One of our main goals at EES is to educate riding instructors in the successful application of the exercises and theories of the Eckart Meyners Balimo™ Program. Instructors who have completed their Balimo™ Program training and are current in their continuing education requirements are available to the public as Graduate Balimo™ Instructors.

A Balimo™ Clinic is typically composed of three elements: interactive lectures, exercise classes, and riding sessions that incorporate Balimo™ principles. Each Balimo™ Clinic is different, tailored to the needs and interests of a particular group. However, all clinics include an initial evaluation of the rider's seat based on the "Six Point Structure," developed by Eckart Meyners. The "Six Point Structure," one of the foundational principles of the Balimo™ Program, is a tool that allows for systematic evaluation of each rider's body. It is the basis for mounted and unmounted exercises, which address each participant's physical issues and limitations as they relate to riding, and is organized into the following categories: Head, Sternum, Tendon and Muscle Reflexes, Spine and Sacro-Illio Joint, Pelvis and Hip, and Leg. Lectures also include theory behind these principles. Below are some sample clinic formats. If you would like to book a clinic, please send an e-mail to equestrianedu2@aol.com.
